What the treatment involved
A good orthodontic result is not only about perfectly aligned teeth. It is also about the healthy gums and soft tissues that frame them — and those are far easier to damage than to rebuild.
Throughout treatment the gums, lips, cheeks and the supporting tissues around the teeth are deliberately respected and protected. Moving teeth safely matters just as much as moving them beautifully, and the two are not automatically the same thing.
Healthy soft tissues create a natural smile, keep the gums healthy, improve the long-term stability of the result, and reduce the risk of gum recession later on. Orthodontics is a balance of science, art and biology — and biology is the part that punishes shortcuts.
