Lingual
braces
Similar to traditional braces, with one difference in placement — they sit on the inner surfaces of the teeth, where nobody sees them.
What it is
Lingual fixed appliances are the most appropriate choice for patients who want to keep their orthodontic treatment as discreet as possible. The brackets bond to the inner tooth surfaces, making them virtually invisible from the outside.
They are also the most technically demanding appliance to fit well. Bracket positioning and wire shaping have a direct effect on patient comfort and on the accuracy of the result, which is why lingual treatment calls for advanced expertise.
